Ensuring child safety is a key part of how our club operates. It helps to provide a safe, happy and fun environment where children can learn to swim and develop their skills.
Brighton Dolphin SC’s Welfare Officer is Sarah Naish. She swims at most sessions, or can be contacted via welfare@bdsc.co.uk.
If you have any concerns of your own or of any swimmer within the club, please contact Sarah. If you feel more comfortable talking to someone else at the club, then your swimming teacher, Mick Anson or Pauline Freestone will find time to listen to you.
Welfare at BDSC
We follow the Swim England child safeguarding policy Wavepower. Wavepower's aim is to safeguard all children in line with current legislation, regulations and guidance and is for use within any Swim England affiliated organisation where children are present. Wavepower consistently emphasises that the responsibility for child safeguarding in our sport belongs with all those involved in our sports and is not the sole responsibility of any one person at local, county or national level.
